The Home Front Exhibit
The Madison County Historical Society presents "WWII, The Home Front in Madison County" Exhibit will be on display from August 5 through Friday, September 27, 2013. The display is at the History Center, 7 West 11th Street, Anderson, Indiana. The Exhibit Hall is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The exhibit will also be open Saturday, August 17 and September 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The display and collection is large and robust with the focus being on memorabilia from throughout the county. Many items were manufactured right here in Madison County and used by our armed forces.
Organizing, researching, and collecting material was done by Bill Knepp and his helper, Emilie Isenhour, who is taking care of the exhibit during the day.
The exhibit is free to everyone in the community. It is for you and your family; that's why we do it! Group times are available by request. For more information and/or questions, please call us at (765) 683-0052 during public hours. Thank you!
