The Connection Corner
The Genealogy Department continues to attract volunteers who have really
settled in and are doing a lot of work organizing files, gathering
data, and researching queries.
On-going projects include:
- Family History binders
- Marriage-Birth-Death Index cards
- Family Notebooks
- Newspaper Items
- Veterans Obits
- Query Research
- Data input to computers

The monthly meeting is to be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the
History Center, 11 West 11th Street, Anderson, Indiana at 7 p.m. The
meeting and parking are free. Everyone is invited to attend.
speaker is Steve Jackson, Madison County Historian. He will be telling
a story that is titled, "Uncommon Dream, Uncommon Tragedy."

The Metamora tour will be on Saturday, September 28, 2013,
rain or shine to the Huddleston Farmhouse & Farmer''s Market at Cambridge City and from Connersville to Metamora, Indiana.

Madison County Historian
Steve is often a speaker at meetings and events around the county. He
has prepared historical presentations which he can deliver to any group
or class. If you would like to have Steve make a presentation, please

. He is a busy man so make that call today before he is all booked up.
here are just three items on his itinerary for June and July: (1)
Steve appeared as guest on the WHBU radio station's weekly show, "The
Inside Pitch". The topic was the life of Delaware Indian Chief William
Anderson., (2) wrote an article about the Welch Air Field for the
History Page of the Herald Bulletin, and (3) presented the story of
"The Green Lantern" to the Kingdom Heirs during their monthly meeting at
the First Baptist Church.
